‘Grateful for everyone’s prayers’: Fazlur Rahman Babu after surgery
Six-time National Film Award-winning actor Fazlur Rahman Babu’s latest film “Pressure Cooker”, directed by Raihan Rafi, was released this Eid.
However, the actor is currently taking a break from work due to health issues. He suddenly fell ill a few days ago and was admitted to hospital. Later, he had to undergo open-heart surgery.
Now, he is resting as per doctors’ advice. The actor had a follow-up check-up 15 days after the operation, and he will need another check-up after one month. After that, doctors will give an update on his condition.
“I am well now by the grace of Allah and everyone’s prayers,” said Babu. “I am grateful for all the love and support.”
Talking about his routine, he said, “I am eating normal food.”
During Eid, actor Chanchal Chowdhury along with his wife and son visited him. In this regard, Chanchal said, “Babu bhai is very dear to us. We are praying for him and hope he recovers soon and returns to acting.”
Meanwhile, “Pressure Cooker” is running in several cinemas. Babu has played an important role in the film, and his performance is being appreciated by audiences.
Speaking about the film, he said, “I have played an important role in “Pressure Cooker”. It is a very good film. Raihan Rafi has done a great job.”
He added, “Many people are praising my acting and also the film’s different story.”
It is also worth mentioning that his film “Insaaf”, released last year, was well received by audiences.
