Kazi Shuvo returns with solo album ‘Keu Bujhlo Na’

For nearly a decade, production companies have largely moved away from releasing solo audio albums, marking the decline of an era that once dominated the music industry.

Dhruba Music Station (DMS) is now attempting to revive that tradition with singer Kazi Shuvo’s new solo digital album, “Keu Bujhlo Na”, which is set to be released on September 28.

Featuring nine songs, the album brings together a diverse collection of tracks for listeners. The songs have been written by Tarun Munshi, the late Pagol Hasan, A Mizan, Jisan Khan Shuvo, Salahuddin Shagar, Humayun Kabeer, Arif Hossen Babu, Alamin Sarkar and Hanif Khan.

The compositions are by Tarun Munshi, the late Pagol Hasan, Kazi Shuvo, Jisan Khan Shuvo, Humayun Kabeer, Alamin Sarkar, Ahmed Sajeeb, Adib Kabir and Hanif Khan. Rafi Mohammad, Ahmed Sajeeb and Adib Kabir have handled the music arrangements.

The album also features Badhon Sarker Puja, who has lent her voice alongside Kazi Shuvo on one of the tracks.

Speaking to The Daily Star about the album, Kazi Shuvo said, “After many years, my solo album is being released again, which is a matter of great joy and excitement for me. At a time when the audio industry is going through a difficult phase, I would like to thank this production company for taking such a risk. Undoubtedly, it is an exceptional and commendable initiative. This initiative by the production company will further enrich the country’s audio industry."

“My first solo album featured nine songs, and the new album also has nine tracks. I have tried to make each of the nine songs different in its own way. I hope the listeners will not be disappointed.”

Dhruba Guha, head of Dhruba Music Station and a musician, said, “We are working with the aim of taking Bangla music to audiences around the world. At a time when the world of sound is gradually losing its space to the visual medium, I believe this initiative will renew interest in Bangla music among listeners by bringing the uniqueness, heritage and enchanting essence of Bangla songs closer to the younger generation.”

Kazi Shuvo’s first solo album, “Shada Mata”, was released in 2009. Since then, he has released five solo albums, including “Shada Mata -2”, “Shada Mata -3”, “Mayar Agun” and “Daga”. “Keu Bujhlo Na” marks the singer’s sixth solo album.
