Anupam Roy’s concert postponed again
Anupam Roy's much-awaited Dhaka concert has been postponed once again, despite organisers saying they had completed all preparations and secured the necessary approvals.
Anupam was initially scheduled to perform in Dhaka on June 26, but the concert was postponed at the last minute. The event, titled "One True Sound with Anupam Roy", was later rescheduled for August 1. However, in a press release issued last night, organiser Triple Time Communication announced that the concert has once again been postponed until further notice.
In a statement shared on its Facebook page, the organiser said it had completed all preparations for the event and fulfilled all required formalities with the relevant authorities.
"However, it is with deep regret that, despite completing all preparations and securing the required approvals, we were informed that the event should not be held following a directive from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, citing 'unavoidable reasons'. As a result, the concert has been postponed until further notice," the statement read.
The organiser added that the sudden decision had disappointed thousands of music lovers, ticket holders, the artist, sponsors, partners and everyone associated with the event. It also said that it fully respects the state's decision and the directives of the relevant authorities and will comply with them in their entirety.
The statement further confirmed that all ticket holders will receive a full refund through the official ticketing platform from which they purchased their tickets.
