Tarique, 24 others sued under Digital Security Act in Sunamganj
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman was sued under the Digital Security Act in Sunamganj this morning.
Moinul Islam (47), an expatriate in the United Kingdom, filed the case with Sunamganj Judicial Magistrate Court against Tarique and 24 others today, our Sylhet correspondent reports.
Accepting the case, the court ordered police of Sunamganj Sadar Police Station to investigate the matter, said the plaintiff's lawyer Akhtaruzzaman Ahmed.
The plaintiff heard a statement made by Tarique and was aggrieved. Thus, he filed the case.
Moinul saw a video of Tarique Rahman on December 19 last year which was uploaded on YouTube on December 16 where Tarique claimed that Ziaur Rahman was the first president of the country and declared independence.
