Attack on Hindu homes in Sunamganj: Prime accused on five-day remand

A Sunamganj court today granted five-day remand for Shahidul Islam Swadhin, the prime accused of a case filed in connection with attacking, vandalising and looting of Hindu houses at Noagaon village in Sunamganj's Shalla upazila on March 17.

Sunamganj Senior Chief Judicial Magistrate Shyam Kanta Sinha granted the remand of Shahidul, along with 2-day remand for 29 other accused in the case, said Salim Nawaj, court inspector of Sunamganj police.

Earlier, the investigation officer of the case prayed for 10-day remand of Shahidul and five-day remand for others.
