4 Rab members arrested for ‘extortion’ at Hatirjheel

Police have arrested four members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) for their alleged involvement in extortion in the capital's Hatirjheel area.

Rab's Legal and Media wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin today told The Daily Star that he heard about the arrest and said they will take legal action against them if the incident is true.

Dhaka Metropolitan Commissioner Shafiqul Islam also confirmed the arrest.

A case was filed in this connection.
