36-year-old arrested for raping schoolgirl in Narayanganj
Police have arrested a man for raping a schoolgirl in Narayanganj's Sadar upazila.
The arrestee is Shamim Tarek, 36, a resident of Towarpar area of the upazila, reports our Narayanganj correspondent quoting Ashiq Imran, sub-inspector of Fatullah Model Police Station.

On May 17, Shamim held a knife to the victim and raped her when her parents were away, said the SI.
The victim was later admitted to a hospital after she fell ill, he said.
Doctors of the hospital told the family members that she was raped, the SI added.
Shamim was arrested yesterday in a police drive after the victim's mother filed a rape case against him with Fatullah Model Police Station.
