3 accused for rape of woman in Patuakhali

Three people were accused in a case filed for the rape of a woman in Patuakhali's Baufal upazila last night.

The men picked up the victim when she was returning home in Chandradwip Union around 9pm, reports our local correspondent quoting Al Mamun, officer-in-charge of Baufal Police Station.

The criminals took her to a nearby field and gang-raped her, the OC said adding that a case was filed in this connection.

The woman was rescued from the field this morning by UP members Nilufar Begum and Dulal Sikder.
