Woman returning from N’ganj dies of coronavirus-like symptoms in B’baria

A 40-year-old woman, who returned from Narayanganj recently, died of coronavirus-like symptoms in Akhaura of Brahmanbaria early today. 

Akhaura Health Complex authority went to her in-laws' house at Ranikhar village to collect samples from the body for Covid-19 test, our Brahmanbaira correspondent reports quoting Tahmina Akhtar Raina, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO).

The woman came to her in laws' house from Narayanganj 8-10 days ago along with her husband, and was suffering from fever, cough and cold for last few days, said Md Faruq Mia, member of Dharkar union.

She died around 3:00am today, Faruq said.

Her husband was working as a security guard and was running a grocery shop in Narayanganj, the UP member said.  

A part of the village has been locked down since this noon, Nazmul Alam, assistant commissioner (land) of Akhaura said.
