Youth murdered

A youth was killed at Mokarrampur village in Gomostapur upazila on Sunday. The deceased was Mohammad Faijuddin, 26, son of Anarul Islam of the village. Police and family sources said there had been a longstanding conflict between Faijuddin and his cousin Amir Hamja. As a sequel to the conflict, both the family members engaged in an altercation around 10:45pm. At one stage, Hamja stabbed Faijuddin, leaving him dead on the spot, Officer-in-Charge Shahin Kamal of Gomostapur Police Station said. A murder case was filed.
