Youth held for robbery

Detective Branch (DB) of Police on Monday night arrested a youth from Singair upazila for his alleged involvements in robbery and drug peddling.

The arrestee, Saddam Hossain, 32, son of Fazal Kashai, is a resident of Azimpur village in the upazila.

Sub-inspector Shah Alam of Manikganj DB police said, on secret information, a police team raided Saddam's house around 8:00pm and arrested him.

Saddam, accused in at least five cases filed with Singair Police Station, including for robbery and drug peddling, had been absconding since long.
