Youth held with fake notes

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a youth with counterfeit Bangladeshi currencies worth about Tk 46,000 from Ekborpur-Daktartola village in Shibganj upazila of the district on Sunday evening. The arrestee is Mahidur Rahman, 22, son of late Hisamuddin of the upazila. On secret information, the elite force raided the area and arrested Mahidur with 92 fake notes of Tk 500, said Assistant Superintendent of Police Shahidar Rahman of Rab-5. A case was filed in this connection.
