Youth gets life for rape

A court here on Wednesday sentenced a young man to life imprisonment for raping a girl in 2012. The convict is Collins Sheikh, 24. According to the prosecution, Collins raped a girl at Sariakandi village in Madhukhali upazila in 2012. Police arrested Collins following a case filed by the victim's family under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act. After examining the records and witnesses, Faridpur Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Bazlur Rahman handed down the verdict.
