Youth found murdered

Police recovered the body of a young man from a septic tank of his friend's house at Nimgachhi Khokshahat village in Raiganj upazila on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Pankaj, 25, son of Samiron Roy, a resident of the village. Father of the deceased said Pankoj locked in an altercation with some of his friends over playing cricket a few days ago. Yusuf and Sharif, sons of Abdul Mazid of the area, called Pankoj out of his house on Saturday afternoon and since then Pankaj remained missing, he said. Later, Pankaj's father filed a complaint with Raiganj Police Station. Superintendent of Police Motaher Hossain said on secret inforamtion, a team of police raided the house of Yusuf in the area in the afternoon. Later, the law enforcers recovered the body from the septic tank. Police arrested Mazid in connection with the killing.
