Ward councillor held

A ward councillor of Birganj municipality in the district was arrested early yesterday. The arrestee is Idris Ali, 32, son of late Shamsul Alam of Hatpukur village, and a councillor of Ward No 9 . Police said he was wanted in a murder and bike snatching cases.  Jahangir Alam, officer-in-charge of Birganj Police Station, said police arrested him from Shalban area at around 4:00am yesterday.
