Wage movement against drugs: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary today urged the country’s young generation to come forward with a view of waging a movement against drugs.

“Our society is being collapsed due to the impact of drug and thus we have declared a war against the drug. We along with the young generation will have to come forward against the drug,” he said.

As chief guest, the police chief was addressing a function on the occasion of an award-giving ceremony among meritorious students at a hotel in Dhaka.   

“We can march forward based on only education. We want people with norms and values instead of certificate-based education,” the IGP said.
