US Deputy Secretary of State to pay 3-day visit to Dhaka next week

US Deputy Secretary of State Stephen E Biegun will be coming to Dhaka on a three-day visit next week to advance the common vision of a free, open, inclusive, peaceful and secure Indo-Pacific region and cooperation on Covid-19 recovery efforts.

In a statement, the US Department of State today said during the visit on October 14-16, he will advance the Indo-Pacific strategy for shared prosperity for all and US-Bangladesh cooperation on Covid-19 response and recovery efforts and sustainable economic development.

Deputy Secretary Biegun will meet senior government officials and reaffirm the US-Bangladesh partnership, in his second leg of the visit with the first being India.

From October 12-14, the Deputy Secretary will visit New Delhi, India where he will meet senior government officials and deliver keynote remarks at the India-US Forum.
