Two Jamaat men held

Police yesterday arrested two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami from Pirgachha and Mithapukur upazilas of the district. The arrestees are Anwarul Islam, 37, son of Abul Khayer of Durgapur village in Mithapukur, and Md Rafiqul Islam, 40, son of late Mohir Uddin of Jabdiganj village in Pirgachha upazila. They were arrested in cases for subversive activities, said Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Saifur Rahman.
