A Narsingdi court yesterday sentenced a youth to death for killing a college girl in 2015.
The convict is Al-Amin, 28, son of Miar Uddin of Baznabo Syed Para village in Belabo upazila of the district.
According to the case statement, Al-Amin had been trying to develop an affair with Rinvi Akhter Dipa, 22, a BBA first-year student at Korotia College in Tangail, for the last couple of years but he failed to get any response.
Al-Amin stabbed Dipa with a sharp weapon, when she came to visit her parents during summer vacation, leaving her seriously injured, in the evening of May 7, 2015.
