Two bodies recovered

An elderly woman and a newborn were found dead in Joypurhat and Rangpur on Wednesday. Family sources said Bimola Bala, 82, wife of late Samanta Chandra Roy of Akkelpur upazila in Joypurhat, slipped into a pond near their house when she went to take a bath. Later, police recovered the body from the pond. Meanwhile, law enforcers recovered the body of a newborn from a pond in Hajipara area of Rangpur city the same day, said police.
