Two arms traders held

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two alleged arms traders with arms and ammunition from a mango orchard at Bagbari area under Shibganj upazila of the district yesterday.The arrestees are Nasim Reza, 21, son of Harun ur Rashid of Omarpur village, and Nazim Hasan, 22, son of Ataur Rahman of Azmatpur village under Shibganj upazila.On secret information, a Rab-5 team from Chapainawabganj camp went to Bagbari area and raided a mango orchard at around 9:35am and arrested the duo while they were waiting there for selling arms, said Shahidur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police of Chapainawabganj Rab camp. The elite force recovered two pistols, four magazines and twelve bullets from their possession, he added. Later, Rab handed them over to Shibganj Police Station and filed a case against them under the Arms Act.
