Trucker hurt by robbers

A trucker and his helper were injured when robbers tried to stop their vehicle on Bogra-Natore highway under Shajahanpur upazila of the district on Wednesday midnight. The injured are trucker Jahangir Alam and his helper Monir Hossain. They were admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Police said a gang of robbers tried to intercept a tobacco loaded Jessore-bound truck from Rangpur by felling trees on the highway at midnight. The two were injured as the truck skidded off the highway and fell on the roadside.
