Tenant kills house owner

An elderly house owner was stabbed to death allegedly by her tenant at Seujgari in the district town early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Khajiron Nessa, 95, wife of late Sohir Uddin Sheikh of the area. Police and locals said a hotel boy named Luky Mia, 24, used to live at the house for long as tenant. He also looked after the victim as none of her family members stayed in the house. Yesterday morning, Luky took away gold ornaments from the house and fled the scene after killing Khajiron Nessa. A case was filed in this connection.
