Teenage girl found dead in Chuadanga

A college girl has been found dead at her house in Chuadanga town’s Hatkaluganj.

Jhuma Khatun, 19, daughter of Abdus Samad of Chuadanga, was a second-year student at Chuadanga Ideal Government College, our Kushtia correspondent reports.

Her mother discovered her dead after returning home around 9:30pm last night, Abu Zihad Md Fakhrul Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chuadanga Sadar Police station.

Later, police arrived at the spot and recovered the body around 10:00pm.

“The girl’s left wrist was found to have been cut open. The cause of death will be ascertained after autopsy,” the OC added.
