Stalker jailed

A mobile court sentenced a young man to one month's imprisonment for stalking a college girl in Khansama upazila of the district yesterday.

The stalker is Sumon Roy, 32, son of Nikunja Roy of Guliara village in the upazila.

Police said locals caught Sumon when he was stalking a girl of Pakerhat Degree College in the area. He was later handed over to police.

Later, Sumon was produced before the court, led by Executive Magistrate Md Sajebur Rahman, which punished him.
