Stalker beats up youth

Stalker of a girl beat up her brother as he protested the stalking in Hakimpur upazila of the district yesterday. The injured is Jahrul Islam of Boaldar village in the upazila. Family members said Md Mokaddes Ali, son of Akbar Hossain of Boaldar village, and a Class XII student of Boaldar School and College, used to stalk the sister of Jahrul on her way to school. On Sunday, Jahrul protested the stalking. Following the incident, the stalker and his brother Babar Ali beat up Jahrul mercilessly, leaving him injured, said Mokhlesur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Hakimpur Police Station.
