SSC examinee commits 'suicide'

An SSC examinee allegedly committed suicide at Purbo Manduyer village in Sadullapur upazila of the district early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Sathia Khatun, 15, daughter of Atwar Rahman of the village. Police said the girl's parents rebuked her as she could not perform well in this year's SSC examinations. Being frustrated, she took her life by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room.
