Six Jamaat-Shibir men held

Police arrested six activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir in Mehendiganj upazila of the district yesterday. The arrestees are Siddiqur Rahman, president of Ulania union unit of Jamaat, Farhad Hossain, president of the union unit of Shibir, its activists Ilias Hossain, Abu Jafor, Rubel Hossain, and Saiful Islam. They were arrested on charge of planning subversive activities, said police.
