Schoolgirl raped

A schoolgirl was raped allegedly by two youths in Kalihati upazila of the district yesterday.The victim, a Class VIII student at a local high school in the upazila, was admitted to Tangail Medical College Hospital. Quoting victim's family members, police said Jamal Hossain alias Tuhin, 20, and his friend Abdul Malek, 22, of Ghatail upazila, called the girl out of her school around 10:00am. They later took her to a nearby jungle and raped her. Officer-in-Charge Saiful Islam Farajee of Kalihati Police Station said victim's father filed a case with the police station accusing Tuhin and Malek.
