Rohingya boy, abducted during clash between factions, dies at Cox’s Bazar hospital

A 14-year-old boy, who was abducted during clashes between two groups of Rohingyas in Ukhiaupazila of Cox's Bazar on October 6 and was torched, died while undergoing treatment at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital early today.

Ziabur Rahman, son of Md Arif Ullah, a resident of Block-E of Kutupalong Rohingya Camp, died around 3:00am today, our Cox's Bazar correspondent reports, quoting the camp in-charge Khalilur Rahman  and Resident Medical Officer of the hospital Shahin Mohammad Abdur Rahman.

Hafez Jalal Ahmed, chairman of the camp's Rohingya Community, claimed that Rohingya criminals abducted the boy on October 6 -- the day when sporadic clashes between two factions of Rohingyas killed four residents of the camp in Ukhia.

After two days, the criminals left Ziabur under a local bridge in critical condition. He was shifted to the hospital where he died today, Jalal Ahmed said.
