Robbers loot 4 houses

Armed robbers looted cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from four houses after injuring six people in Daulatpur upazila of the district on Tuesday night. Police arrested one Liton in connection with the incident. Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Daulatpur Police Station, said a gang of 15/16 swooped on the houses of Jahangir Alam Babu, Nafiqul Islam, Akbor Ali and Fatik Ali around11:30pm. They took away Tk 5 lakh, gold ornaments and other valuables. The robbers also beat up six family members as they tried to resist them, said the OC.
