Robber beaten to death

An alleged robber was killed in a mob beating at Jangail village under Sadar upazila early yesterday.

The dead was identified as Joynal, 38. Police said locals chased a gang of robbers, caught Joynal and beat him up mercilessly. The remaining gang members managed to flee.

Police rescued Joynal and took him to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
