Rice mill worker killed in boiler blast

A man was killed and two others were injured in a boiler explosion at a rice mill in Trimohony area under Naldanga upazila of the district yesterday morning.

The deceased was identified as Jahurul Islam, 35, son of Elahi Boksh of Panchani village in the upazila.

Witnesses said the boiler blasted with a big bang at Abu Hena Rice Mill in the area, leaving Jahurul, a worker of the mill, dead and two other workers injured.

Wazed Ali, officer-in-charge of Naldanga Police Station, said the injured, Shamser Ali and Abdul Mannan, were admitted to Natore Sadar Hospital.
