Question leak: Bank official among 3 remanded

A Dhaka court today placed three people, including a bank official, on different terms of remand in connection with question leak of different university admissions and bank recruitment tests.

Manik Kumar Pramanik, a senior officer of Agrani Bank in Rajshahi, was placed on a three-day remand while two of his accomplices Ripon Kumar and Md Shafiqul Islam were placed on one-day remand each.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Tofazzal Hossain passed the order after Md Shahinul Islam, an inspector of Criminal Investigation Department and also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before his court with a seven-day remand prayer.

In the remand prayer, the IO said earlier three other accused gave confessional statements that they involved the bank official and his accomplices with leaking question papers. So they need to be remanded to find out vital clues about the question leak.
