Policeman killed in Patuakhali road accident

A policeman died as he lost control over his motorbike in Patuakhali's Baufal upazila last night.

Deceased Md Enayet Hossain (45), of Gachani village under Dashmina upazila, was assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Nalchiti Police Station in Jhalokati district, our Patuakhali correspondent reports.

Confirming the incident Md Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Baufal Police Station, said the accident took place when Enayet Hossain was returning home on a motorcycle from Nalchiti.

He lost consciousness when he fell on the road after losing control over his motorcycle around 8:45pm, said the OC.

Locals rescued him and took him to Baufal Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
