Nine jailed for unfair means in test
Nine people were jailed for adopting illegal means at a recruitment test of police in the district on Sunday.
The convicts are Sheikh Bappa Raj, 27 and Md Palash 22, of Satkhira, Mehedi Hasan, 25, of Comilla, Istiaque Bulbul, 23, of Cox's Bazar, Abdul Alim, 25, of Magura, Shahjalal Sumon, 22, of Munshiganj, Matiur Rahman, 22, of Jossore, Shafiqul Islam, 22, of Pabna and Moslem Uddin, 22, of Dinajpur.
Redwanur Rahim, officer-in-charge of Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station, said they caught the examinees red handed for adopting unfair means during the written recruitment test at Dinajpur Police Lines in the afternoon.
They were produced before a mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Golam Robbani, which sentenced them to one month's imprisonment each, said the OC.
