Newborn found in dustbin

An unidentified newborn was recovered from a roadside dustbin of Kurigram Old Railway Station Para in Kurigram municipality on Tuesday.

She is now being given treatment at Kurigram Sadar Hospital.

One Moynul Haque of the area heard weeping of a baby in the dustbin while he was returning home around 11:00pm, said hospital sources.

Moynul with the help of two local youths recovered the baby girl and admitted her to the hospital.

Dr Nazrul Islam, resident medical officer of the hospital, said they informed police about the matter.
