Muggers kill driver

Muggers killed a battery-run rickshaw driver and took away his vehicle in Birganj upazila of the district early yesterday. The deceased is Shariful Islam, 28, son of Mofazzal Hossain of Kalapukur village in the upazila. Inspector Fakhrul Islam of Birganj Police Station said locals spotted Shariful's body lying beside a road at neighbouring Nartodangi village and informed the police around 2:00am. Police suspected that the muggers killed Shariful to take away his vehicle.
