Missing weaver found dead in Sirajganj
A handloom worker, who went missing from Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj on July 24, was found dead yesterday.
Locals spotted the body of Jahid Hossain, 18, beside Karotoa River in the upazila around 10:30am and informed the police. Police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Quoting victim's family members, Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Shahjadpur Police Station, said Jahid went out of their house at Darogarchar village on the day to attend a picnic and did not return home.
Victim's father Anwar Hossain filed a case with Shahjadpur Police Station yesterday, accusing eight people of the area.
Away in Dinajpur, the body of an 18-month-old boy was recovered from Sujapur village in Phulbari upazila yesterday, reports our Dinajpur correspondent.
The deceased is Mohammad Ali, son of Mahbubur Rahman of the village.
Police quoted victim's family members as saying that Ali went missing while he was playing in front of their house around 5:00pm on Saturday.
After a hectic search for over 12 hours, locals spotted his body underneath a pile of bricks around 5:00am and informed the police.
