Medical student found dead

Police recovered the body of a female student of Barisal Medical College from her house at Bhabanipur village in Kalkini upazila of the district yesterday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mohua Akter, 21, a second year student of the medical college.

Police said family members found her body hanging from the ceiling of her room early in the morning.

Being informed, the law enforcers rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

Family members claimed that she committed suicide due to excessive academic pressure.
