Man kills son, takes own life

A man took his life after killing his eight-year-old son in Kaharol upazila of the district yesterday. 

The deceased are rickshaw puller Zinnat Hossain, 32, and his son Md Munna of Garnurpur village. 

Police said Zinnat hung Munna from the ceiling of his living room. Later, he took his life by hanging from the same rope around 9:00am.

Informed by locals, police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies and sent them to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Locals said Zinnat's wives Tara Banu, 25, and Sahana Begum, 23, left the house following a family feud in the morning.

Over the issue, Zinnat took his life after killing his son, they said.
