Major (retd) Sinha killing: three accused remanded again

A court in Cox's Bazar today placed three accused on four-day remand each in a case filed over the murder of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.

Judge Tamanna Farah of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-4 in Cox's Bazar Sadar passed the order around 12:15pm today, said Rab's Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Khairul Islam.

The accused -- Nurul Amin, Nizam Uddin and Ayas Uddin -- were placed on fresh remand upon completion of their seven-day remand, said Rab official Khairul, also investigation officer of the case.

"We recorded some information from the accused during their seven-day interrogation. And we are now analysing the information," the official added.

The three accused are also witnesses in two other cases filed with Teknaf Police Station in connection with the incident.

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested the three from Marishbunia village on August 9.
