Madrasa boy drowns in pond

A 10-year-old madrasa student drowned in a pond at Jhumjhumpur village under Jessore Sadar upazila yesterday.

The deceased, Sony Rahman, son of Mosharraf Hossain , was a Class V student at a local madrasa.
Quoting witnesses, police said Sony went to take a bath in a pond adjacent to their house. He suddenly slipped into the pond and drowned.
