Lightning kills two

Two people were killed by a lightning strike at Chabbishnagar village in Godagari upazila of the district on Monday night. The deceased are Shahjalal Mia, 26, son of Ekramul Haque of the village, and his neighbour Adri Begum, 40, wife of Abdur Razzak. Witnesses said lightning struck the duo while they were staying at their homes around 9:30pm, leaving them critically injured. Locals took them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
