Lightning kills 1

A farm labourer was killed and another injured in lightning strike in Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira yesterday.

The deceased, Delwar Hossain, 30, was a resident of Raipur village in Sadar upazila.

Critically injured Milan Hossain is now undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital.

The incident occurred when a streak of thunderbolt hit the duo while they were planting Aman seedlings in separate paddy fields at the village around 07:30am, leaving Delwar dead on the spot and injuring Milan, Officer in Charge of Kalaroa Police Station Munir Ul Gias said.
