Lawmaker Akabbar, wife admitted at hospital with Covid-19

Akabbar Hossain, Awami League lawmaker from Tangail-7 (Mirzapur) constituency, and his wife Jharna Hossain have tested positive for Covid-19.

They were admitted at Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka last night.

Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina has made all arrangements for their admission at CMH, the lawmaker's son Tahrim Hossain posted on his Facebook account.

"I tested Covid-19 positive four days ago while my husband on Tuesday. We got admitted at CMH around 12:00am for better treatment," Jharna told The Daily Star.

She said they are doing well now and sought blessings from the countrymen for their early recovery.
