Jessore schoolboy murdered

Criminals killed a schoolboy by slitting his throat at Bhandarkhola village in Keshabpur upazila of Jessore yesterday.

The victim is Billal Hossain, 15, son of Rejoan Sarder, and a student of Class IX of Hasanpur Muktijoddha Karigori High School.

Billal went out of home on Saturday evening after receiving a phone call from his friend Rana and did not return since then.

Informed by locals, police recovered the body from the area the following day and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Md Masudur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Keshabpur Police Station.

There were cut marks on the throat, the OC said.
