Injured Bogra AL leader dies

An Awami League leader, who was injured in a post-poll clash, succumbed to his injuries at Shamsunnahar Clinic in the district on Sunday.

The deceased is Abdul Mazid, 65, president of Kamalpur union unit of AL in Shariakandi upazila.

Police and locals said voting in the union parishad was held on March 22 in the first phase.

On the day, Mazid was seriously injured in an attack by the rival group at Rohodaha Government Primary School in the union. He was admitted to the clinic where he died on Sunday night.
