Hindu priest murder case accused remanded
Shariful Sheikh, 25, prime accused in Hindu priest Paramananda Roy murder case in Tungipara of Gopalganj district, was placed on a seven-day remand yesterday.
The court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Gautam Ghosh granted the remand when police produced the accused before the court.
On Friday evening, Paramananda, 70, was stabbed while he was returning home at Dakkhin Basuria village from Gimdanga Haat. He died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday.
