HC bins writ on judicial probe into Inu’s allegation against MPs

The High Court today rejected a writ petition seeking its order on the government for holding a judicial enquiry into allegation against the parliament members of misappropriating money from Test Relief (TR) and Food for Work (Kabikha) programmes.

The HC bench of Justice Kazi Reza-Ul-Haque and Justice JN Deb Chowdhury rejected the petition considering that the petition was not placed and prepared properly.

Writ Petitioner Eunus Ali Akond said he will move it before the HC next time preparing the petition on new ground.

On July 26, Supreme Court lawyer Akond filed the petition with the High Court seeking its directives on the government for a judicial enquiry into allegation.

In the petition, Akond urged the HC to issue rule upon the authorities concerned to explain why the lawmakers are given responsibilities to distribute the money of the programmes.
